How Long Does The Treatment Take?

A topical numbing cream is applied to face and neck 20 minutes before the treatment making it completely comfortable, the needling session takes 60 minutes.

Does the treatment hurt?

No the numbing cream makes the treatment comfortable however the skin can feel warm and tender after the treatment when the numbing effect wears off.

Is there downtime?

Yes the skin is noticeably red immediately after treatment this subsides in the first 44-48 hours. The skin will feel tender and sore to touch for 24 hours post treatment and will also be dry, it may flake and peel slightly, this can last 2-4 days. The skin should be fully healed within a week with no visible signs of the treatment. Usually LED Light Therapy is combined with skin needling to help collagen synthesis and aid recovery whilst reducing downtime.

How many treatments will I need?

Optimal results are achieved after 3 – 6 sessions every 4-6 weeks depending on needle depth used, and then a maintenance treatment every 2 - 6 months. Collagen production through controlled stimulation Improves skin quality & thickness. Skin needling can be used on face, neck and body.

Pre- Treatment Advice

Avoid the use of retinol , AHA’s and BHA for 5- 7 days prior to you treatment.Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days prior to your session as they thin the blood.A SPF 30 must be worn everyday prep before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skin tones. Skincare must be checked prior to treatment allow for better treatment and healing results.
